In March 2021, we began building the Human Resources team for the Americas, which now consists of more than 200 people impacting the entire value chain of BASF. Among other things, this team is responsible for talent attraction and recruitment, developing the Employer Brand, working on employee development, designing the compensation and benefits package, and managing the administrative processes related to Human Resources management.Main Objective of the Position:The Talent Acquisition Sourcer is responsible for identifying, attracting, and engaging qualified candidates for current or future job openings. As a Sourcer, you will collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition Partners, Recruiters and Managers to develop effective search strategies that attract top talent through market research, Job Boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and referrals.You’ll use your strong communication and relationship-building skills to interact with candidates, assess their qualifications, and provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring processMain Tasks:

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition Partners to understand the needs and anticipated demand of Business Units.
  • Implement and execute effective search strategies including database mining using available tools to identify potential candidates to become BASF applicants.
  • Understand the profile to creatively source; create (Boolean) searches on LinkedIn, Indeed, and other sources, and contact candidates with matching profiles (using InMails, emails, and phone).
  • Use market reports to understand the talent landscape and how competitive the market is, advising talent acquisition partners to determine the best approach for common goals.
  • Maintain and improve materials such as job descriptions and job advertisements.
  • Manage and update the BASF repository.
  • Engage with external candidates and build strong relationships to create a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Cold call potential candidates including passive talent to sell BASF’s careers, mission, and vision.
  • Stay close to the external market through trend analysis, benchmarking, networking, and proactively researching emerging recruitment trends.
  • Conduct market research to understand job market prospects and identify potential candidates, using various search channels, tools, and techniques.
  • Maintain continuous communication with candidates, providing updates and guidance during the recruitment process.
  • Provide support in welcoming new team members, ensuring the appropriate transfer of knowledge and tools.
  • Participate in projects of medium complexity.
  • Assist the team during the audit process (internal and external), as well as in other annual processes.

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources or similar.
  • Work Experience: 3-4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a focus on Sourcing and or Recruitment, preferably in the US market.
  • Languages: Advanced English, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Intermediate skills in applicant tracking system (ATS) ex. Taleo / Success Factor
  • Intermediate skills in recruitment tools, for example: LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, actively listening to understand needs and requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Negotiation skills, persuasion and influence over others, and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities
