Elisa recrute un Sr Data Engineer pour rejoindre son équipe Smart Energy, engagée dans la transition vers des systèmes énergétiques zéro carbone. Avec une équipe dynamique de plus de 40 spécialistes, Elisa se positionne à la pointe de l’utilisation des données et de l’intelligence artificielle pour résoudre les défis liés à l’énergie renouvelable, principalement l’énergie éolienne et solaire. Cette initiative vise non seulement à optimiser le stockage d’énergie, mais aussi à stabiliser les réseaux électriques.
Objectifs du Poste
Le rôle principal de l’ingénieur des données sera de construire et maintenir des pipelines de données, tout en contribuant au développement et à l’entretien d’une plateforme de données, essentielle pour des opérations de machine learning. Les responsabilités incluent :
- L’optimisation continue des opérations de données.
- La participation active au développement d’une infrastructure de données pour les produits d’Elisa.
- L’implication dans la conception de solutions innovantes pour le secteur de l’énergie.
Exigences du Poste
Elisa recherche un candidat qui répond aux critères suivants :
- Expérience : Minimum de 3 ans en ingénierie logicielle et des données.
- Compétences techniques :
- Maîtrise des modèles de conception logiciels modernes et des pipelines de traitement de données.
- Expertise en Python ; d’autres langages comme Java ou Go sont un atout.
- Expérience pratique avec des plateformes cloud majeures, préférence pour AWS.
- Familiarité avec des outils d’analyse de données, notamment Databricks.
- Connaissance des frameworks de traitement distribué comme Apache Spark et Kafka.
- Organisation et Communication : Bonnes capacités de communication et maîtrise de l’anglais.
Atouts et Compétences Supplémentaires
Des compétences additionnelles, bien que non indispensables, seront valorisées :
- Approche "shift-left" pour les tests et la validation des données.
- Compréhension des marchés de l’énergie et des spécifications de formats de données modernes.

Our multidisciplinary team leverages data and AI to address challenges posed by wind and solar energy becoming primary sources of power, through intelligently managed energy storage. We are providing solutions for the telecom sector (read more about it from homeowners ( ) and Commercial and Industrial sector (f.ex ).As a Sr Data Engineer, your main focus will be designing and implementing data pipelines between data-intensive systems and participate in developing solutions for data handling and machine learning. This role requires strong data integration skills and solid coding experience.Elisa’s Smart Energy Team’s innovative AI-based solution optimizes energy storage assets, delivering financial, operational, and sustainability benefits to telecom, commercial, industrial and residential clients. As we are growing fast and changing all the time, you will have a great chance to evolve the role yourself.What is the role all about?Build and maintain data pipelines.Continuously improve and optimize data operations.Contribute to the developing and maintenance of our data platform and critical for machine learning team.Support and contribute to developing the data platform that enables our product’s development, scaling and machine learning team.What do we expect from you?3+ years of experience in software and data engineering.Solid experience with modern software design patterns and cloud-native , including distributed computing and data processing pipelines.Proficiency in Python; knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Java, Go, …) is a plus.Practical development experience in some major cloud platforms (AWS preferred).A DevSecOps and shift-left mindset and hands-on skills in IaC, and CI/CD.Experience with data and analytics platforms, preferably Databricks, and building data pipelines.Experience with distributed batch and streaming processing frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark, Apache Spark Streaming, Apache Kafka, Flink,…).Experience with schema validation at source and schema evolution.Enjoy writing maintainable and well-tested code.Good communication skills and fluency in English.Nice to haveShift-left testing and data validation mindset.Experience in networking.Experience with modern data file formats and specifications (e.g. Parquet, Avro, Iceberg, )Experience with modern analytics and query engines.Experience or familiarity with the Apache ecosystem.Understanding of energy markets, including the balancing reserve markets would be highly valued.Most of our team is based in Helsinki (some in Tampere and Turku), but like the rest of the Elisians, we can work flexibly (in Southern Finland).Why join us?You will be given a large portion of responsibility, but equal amounts of freedom and trust.
